How To Update
- File CK50SF18_BIOS.zip contains all needed files to lash BIOS, in case you already have a Booting OS
- WinPE Image.img is a ready to go boot-able image file which can be used with usbit
when you boot with this it will directly start writing BIOS after boot-up. If Device is booting from USB per default it will end-up in a “BIOS writing loop” – so please remove on first reboot. - usbit.zip is a tool which can write img files to a usb stick
- boot.wim is a alternative Windows PE containing a PE Explorer, just replace it on your PE boot stick under “sources”
Step-by-Step description:
- prepare a DOS or Windows PE Boot Stick
- for automatic Stick solution use usbit and write downloaded img file
>use run-as admin
>use device mode and recover in usbit tool - attach USB stick to thin client
- boot from USB: press F10 or F2 at boot time and chose your stick
- don’t forget to remove USB stick when device is rebooting again
Verifying and change settings:
- to enter BIOS press Entf or Del key
- Main > BIOS Version should show CK50SF18 or higher
- For some Linux Systems you need to disable Secure Boot
- If you need PXE boot, you need to enable it

- format a USB stick with FAT32
- unzip CL600FXX.zip to root of this USB Stick > in other zip’s use Shell\Afu directory as root on your stick
- disable secure boot in BIOS of your AiO device > to enter BIOS press F10 after powering on
- Boot with USB stick > with F10 during boot up you will get a boot menu > pick your stick here
- wait until bios writing is finished
- secure boot will be enabled again automatically

Stratodesk – flickering monitor
Newer linux kernel used in current Stratodesk NoTouchOS (3.3.xx) seems to have an issue with Intel chipsets.
It could happen that you see a flickering or black screen while using default system settings.
Behavior depend a bit on used monitor adapters. It can happen on all LG CL6 based platforms.
To fix this issue two specific kernel boot parameters are needed:
processor.max_cstate=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0
Parameter can be tested by enter it manually in grub during boot-up.
(ESC > “e” > user name: root > password: your password > add parameters at the end of line starting with word linux > Ctrl + x or F10)
